Accessibility

Our aim

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the target the site was designed and coded against.

What that means here

• Every page uses semantic headings and landmarks in order.
• The navigation, gallery filters, image viewer, video players, event calendar and all form fields can be operated by keyboard alone.
• Focus is always visible, and the image viewer and mobile menu return focus to where you left off when you close them.
• A “skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches.
• Text and interface colours are chosen to meet AA contrast on the dark palette.
• Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• Motion is limited to short fades, and it is switched off entirely if your device requests reduced motion.
• Touch targets on phones are at least 44 pixels, and the layout never scrolls sideways.

Known limitations

• The Google Maps embed is a third-party component, and its accessibility is controlled by Google. The full address, a directions link and a phone number are always available as text alternatives.
• YouTube videos rely on captions provided with each video. Where a video has no captions, that is a gap to fix at the source.

Editable placeholder — the physical accessibility of the studio and event space — step-free access, restroom accessibility and parking — has not been verified and is deliberately not described anywhere on this site. Confirm those details and add them before launch.
